Artisan Rugs and Hangings:
a Mexican-American Partnership

Artisan weaver Margarito Jiménez Moncada hand-looms these all-wool rugs to my design in the old silver town of San Miguel de Allende. Since every rug is hand-made, no two are the exactly alike. My wife and I use them as rugs, but many people think they're too good to walk on so they use them as wall hangings.
